A. H. CHAPMAN M.D.1, GEORGE SASLOW M.D.1, and FRANCES WATSON M.S.W.1

1 Department of Neuropsychiatry of Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital, and the Social Service. Department of Washington University Clinics and Allied Hospitals, St. Louis, Missouri

The case history of a male pseudohermaphrodite is presented. Though reared as a girl, the male sexual role was preferred at age 21. The comprehensive plan for enabling him to make a successful change to this role is described, and the necessity for cooperative work by surgeon, social worker, psychiatrist, and lawyer is presented.
