Electrocardiographic Abnormalities Associated with Emotional Disturbances

A patient who developed electrocardiographic abnormalities in association with situations which provoked anxiety is reported. Psychologic and physiologic data obtained during a prolonged period of observation are described. Mechanisms by which anxiety could produce the observed electrocardiographic changes are discussed.
