Physiological concomitants (I131 uptake) of field dependence

JF Sousa-Poza, R Rohrberg, D Bellabarba and P Ruest

Radioactive iodine uptake levels of two matched groups 11 field dependent and 11 field independent male euthyroid medical students were compared at the 7th, 24th, and 48th hr and at the 7th day. Significantly higher levels were observed in the field dependent group at all points except the 48th hr. These findings may reflect individual differences in adaptive psychoendocrine functioning.
