Figure 1. Interaction between genotype and exhaustion related to plasma levels of C-reactive protein (CRP). Although there was no association between CRP and exhaustion for carriers of the GG wild-type, subjects with the GA or AA variant showed a dose–response relationship between levels of exhaustion and plasma levels of CRP. Among the GA/AA individuals, there were 22 subjects with no exhaustion, 31 subjects with moderate exhaustion, and 20 subjects with severe exhaustion. Data show means ± SEM of anti-log transformed CRP values derived from multivariable adjusted analysis on log-transformed CRP values. Error bars indicate estimated standard error of the mean.
