For MI, the estimates for group 1 are unconstrained and allowed to differ from the estimates for group 0. For MC, the estimates for group 1 are constrained to be the same as the estimates for group 0 (i.e., 0). The values on the paths between the intercepts and the scales are the estimated population intercepts and are constrained to be equal across groups for both models.
